Window Treatment Installer / Installer Trainee

If you are friendly, motivated, good with your hands, and like working with people, this could be the full-time opportunity you have been looking for.

We consider our installers to be a critical part of our customer experience. We provide top-notch service to our customers and our installers make it all come together. We’ve been voted the #1 place to buy window treatments in Lancaster County 15 years in a row! This is an opportunity to be an important part of a winning team.

After training, duties would include:

  • Installing and repairing window blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery products
  • Connect and program motorized/automated window products
  • Measuring jobs prior to ordering to ensure a precise fit
  • Assisting customers in the selecting the best product for their project
  • Educate customers on the proper use and care on their new window coverings

Because of the specialized nature of our business, training is provided. However, previous experience installing home decor products or general retail experience would be an advantage. You should be able to easily lift 50 pounds and be comfortable working with ladders and tools as well. Good communication skills are essential.

Who would make a good candidate for this position?

  • Mechanical ability – good with your hands and figuring out how things work
  • Problem solving skills for when things aren’t working quite right
  • Basic math abilities – ability work with measurements and fractions
  • Good organization – working neatly and maintain tools and company van in orderly manner
  • Excellent communication, customer relations, and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

Paint Department Sales

If you enjoy meeting people and helping them with their projects – this could be a great opportunity for you to succeed!

We have a large base of regular, satisfied customers and a steady influx of new ones. This is a very enjoyable department in which to work and there is a lot of variety.

After training, duties would include:

  • Assisting painting contractors with paint and preparation recommendations
  • Calculating the amount of paint required for painting/wallpapering projects
  • Helping customers select the best product for their project
  • Color matching or assisting with the selection of paint colors
  • Responsibilities are often expanded as ability develops

Who would make a good candidate for this position?

  • Good communication, customer relations, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to easily lift 50 pounds, stand most of the day, use step ladder
  • Comfortable performing basic computer functions
  • Although not necessary, previous retail sales experience is helpful
  • During busy times, multi-tasking ability is a huge asset

Window Treatment Sales

If you enjoy decorating and working with people – this could be a great opportunity for you to have more than just a job!

As one of the largest window treatment dealers in Central Pennsylvania, we have a great reputation and many repeat customers. We’ve been voted the #1 place to buy window treatments in Lancaster County 15 years in a row! This is an opportunity to be an important part of a winning team.

After training, duties would include:

  • Work with customers in our showroom to help identify the best product for their needs
  • Help clients understand the pros and cons of the various window coverings such as blinds, shades, shutters, draperies, etc.
  • Provide price quotes and appropriate follow-up to facilitate the ordering process
  • With sufficient training and experience, conduct in-home consultations to finalize selections and measure windows for proper fit
  • Assisting with the design and selection of fabric treatments and accessories such as draperies, valances, pillows, etc.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, and installers to ensure the best customer experience and to resolve any issues that arise
  • Build local relationships with designers, realtors, builders and other professionals who rely on our services

Who would make a good candidate for this position?

  • Strong communication, customer relations, and teamwork skills – fanatical about customer service
  • Motivated with a positive attitude – willingness to pursue opportunities to increase sales
  • Comfortable with computers, especially for quote/order entry and on-line training
  • Although not necessary, previous experience selling decorative products or in-home design services would be a tremendous benefit
  • Good follow-up and multi-tasking ability and flexibility are very important
